We wish to dedicate this page to Pat and Peter Masley woodchuc@wcta.net for their work in compiling this information for the original MQS program(s) for the first three years of the showcase's existence..........among the many, many other things they were responsible for doing. The showcase community owes these two a big THANK YOU for three years of dedicated work. Thank you, Pat and Peter.

This quilt was made with a vintage top purchased in Oklahoma City, vintage 1950's fabrics, purchased in Omaha, were used to bind and back this quilt. I quilted and finished it in Ft. Collins.

"I Got Married in the 60's" - (Judges Ribbon)

This quilt takes the traditional double wedding ring design and updates it with 60 degree piecing techniques to eliminate the curved piecing. It is quilted with free hand feathers utilizing the long arm quilting machine -- the quilting of tomorrow.

The coat from McCall's 2292 was created from Hoffman Millennium fabric, a Kaufman, a Moda and Fairfield Soft touch Cotton on an APQS Ultimate I using the Hartley Fence. The quilted stars of Madeira Metallic Gold echo the stars on the millennium fabric.

The quilting on this piece was inspired by Norah's request that the hearts be accented by a feathered plume coming out of the top of each one. That plume forms the basis for the feather design stitched into the setting and corner triangles. The borders are freehand feathers with stippling to enhance the texture.

The shoe blocks were machine pieced by several friends as part of a friendship block project. The verse was free motion quilted and was taken in part from a tee shirt saying with an original finish written by the quilter.

The fabric was created in Suzanne McCoy's Log Cabin Stew class. The blocks are pieced and then "chopped" twice, reassembled and re-stitched into blocks. The quilting pattern is Cotton Candy by Norma Sharp. The quilter designed the garment.
